Umzolozolo Private Safari Lodge is a five star venue situated in the Malaria free, Nambiti Private Game Reserve, KwaZulu-Natal. The Nambiti Game Reserve is close to Ladysmith and easily accessed when travelling from Johannesburg or Durban.

The wildlife experience at Umzolozolo Lodge in the Nambiti Game Reserve can be amazing. This species rich Nambiti park offers regular sightings of elephant and buffalo herds, white and black rhino, cheetah and lion. Although a Big 5 Game Reserve, the leopard are infrequently seen. Numerous species of antelope and other wildlife such as giraffe, zebra and hippo as well as abundant bird species make for a rewarding sojourn into the bushveld.

Umzolozolo Lodge features five luxurious freestanding suites, constructed using local materials and thatch roofs to blend into the environment, with each room having a panoramic outlook over the bush. The air-conditioned rooms at Umzolozolo are spacious and secluded with private viewing decks, where guests can relax and observe the wildlife in the valley below and on the hills of the Nambiti Game Reserve. The suites have been designed to maximize game viewing from every room with large picture windows looking out onto the valley. In addition to a private bathroom, each suite has an outdoor shower, so that even whilst showering, guests can enjoy the sights and sounds of Nambiti. The suites have TV with satellite channels, where one can catch up with a world that seems so very far away!

Umzolozolo has a beautifully appointed Presidential Suite. The extravagant stone bath with lovely views through the large windows makes for the ideal setting to relax, and appreciating the beauty of the environment of the Nambiti Game Reserve. The décor and comfort of this magnificent suite adds to the romantic atmosphere, whilst the private deck is complimented by a Jacuzzi for unwinding in lavish style.

Umzolozolo’s Honeymoon Suite is tucked away for complete privacy, this also features a private deck which overlooks the valley. We make every effort to create a magical romantic atmosphere for our honeymoon couples and will gladly arrange for a private dinner to be served at your suite, at an additional cost.

Our Children’s Policy: Please note: children 4 years and older are allowed, on game drives as long as they are under adult supervision at all times. (This is subject to change at the Mangers and Ranger’s discretion) Child minding facilities are available during game drives and meals. - Please note these ladies, are superb at looking after children, but they are not professional babysitters. A separate children’s menu will be available at the lodge.
