Day 1 – Sabi Sand
(Lunch, Dinner)
Today you will fly from the OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg directly into the Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve, arriving in time for lunch and your afternoon/evening game drive. You will overnight at our preferred lodge in this reserve. The Sabi Sand Reserve is the birthplace of sustainable wildlife tourism in Southern Africa, and is the oldest of all the private reserves in South Africa. The Sabi Sand Reserve is the oldest of all the private reserves in South Africa. It was formed in 1934, and became a formal association in 1948. It has only ever been a wilderness area and is home to a vast wildlife population, including The Big Five, (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo) and a number of other high profile animals too. Flanking the Kruger National Park, animals pass unhindered between the reserves.
Please note that there are many lodges to choose from, and the tariff will be dependent upon which lodge is chosen by you.

Day 2, 3, – Sabi Sand
(Breakfast,Lunch, Dinner)
The following two days will be spent in following the individual lodges’ programme. Although this may differ slightly from lodge to lodge, the programme is usually this: You are woken early and offered some light refreshment, (tea/coffee/juice and something light to eat) before embarking on the morning game drive. Midway through the drive some more light refreshment is again offered, and at the conclusion of the morning drive you return to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast you usually have a choice of going on a walk with an armed ranger or relaxing at the pool or in your room. Lunch is then offered and again in the afternoon tea/coffee/juice and cake is enjoyed before commencing the afternoon/evening drive. Midway through this drive a sundowner stop is made to enjoy some drinks and snacks, before continuing on the drive, the latter being with the aid of a spotlight to pick up on the nocturnal species. Then it’s back to the lodge to enjoy dinner and drinks before retiring for some well earned sleep.

Day 4 - Johannesburg
(Breakfast, Lunch)
This morning after our game drive and breakfast you will be transferred to the airstrip for your return flight to Johannesburg.
