One
of the largest game parks in South Africa, the Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Park
is renowned for its wide variety of bird and animal life. Besides the
'big five'- elephant, lion, leopard. buffalo and rhino - elusive cheetah,
wild dog and nyala along with many other well-known bushveld species inhabit
the park, offering visitors an excellent game viewing experience. The
park covers 96 000 hectares, and comprises three reserves: Hluhluwe, Imfolozi
(Umfolozi) - two of South Africa's oldest game reserves, both founded
in 1895 - and the linking Corridor Reserve, proclaimed in 1989.

Hilltop Camp
Hilltop
Camp is one of the latest developments in the Hluhluwe section of the
park. Situated high on the edge of a steep forested slope, it commands
breathtaking views of Zululand's hills and valleys.
Hilltop's rustic thatch design merges tastefully with the natural surroundings,
and at its high altitude, the camp is cooler than the rest of the reserve,
a welcome retreat after a day's game viewing.

Mtwazi Lodge
Situated close to Hilltop
Camp Mtwazi Lodge is known for its quiet charm, offering visitors total
privacy. The Lodge has three bedrooms, each with private bathrooms, accommodating
six visitors, A double (Master suite) and 2 twin rooms in the main house
and an annex houses three additional guests.

Muntulu Bush Lodge
Hidden in a wilderness setting
overlooking the Hluhluwe River, Muntulu Bush Lodge affords guests total
privacy while enjoying a superb wildlife experience. The camp consists
of four two bed units with en-suite bathrooms which are linked by wooden
walkways to the central lounge and dining area.

Munywaneni Bush Lodge
The Munyawaneni Bush Lodge overlooks
the confluence of the Hluhluwe River and the Munyawaneni stream. Set in
parklike surroundings, it commands splendid game viewing conditions. An
open plan lounge/dining area adjoins four 2-bed sleeping units, each with
en-suite showers and toilets.

Gqoyeni Bush Lodge
Elevated, on a peninsula
overlooking the Black Mfolozi River , these bush lodges offers excellent
game viewing opportunities in an ideal setting. Four two-bed units, each
with individual showers and toilets, are linked by wooden walkways to
a central living area.

Hlatikhulu Bush Lodge
Elevated on a terrace overlooking the Black Imfolozi River this lodge is situated in the heart of the park and provides excellent opportunities for walks. Four 2-bed units, each with own private showers and toilets en suite, are linked by wooden walkways to a central living area.

Masinda Lodge
Set mid-way between Hilltop
and Mpila Camps and close to the Nyalazi Gate entrance this Lodge sleeps
9. A double (Master suite) and 2 twin rooms in the main house with a cottage
sleeping 3 adjacent. Each bedroom has private en suite bathroom facilities.

Mpila Camp
Centrally situated in the Imfolozi section, Mpila Camp commands magnificent views of the Wilderness area.
Twelve single-room thatched rest huts accommodate four people each. This section of the camp is self catering and guests prepare their own food in a central kitchen.

Nselweni Bush Camp
Recently renovated the Nselweni Bushcamp situated overlooking the Black Umfolozi River. It has eight 2-bed selfcatering brick under canvas Chalets, each with own kitchenette and shower and toilet en suite. For larger groups there is a central lounge / dining / kitchen area.
