The ambience of the lounge car is one of warm elegance, where large windows allow for panoramic views of the passing countryside. Incandesent lighting gains added warmth from individual lamps on each table, gently highlighting the beautifully detailed burled wood panelling and original South African artwork.

Should the relaxing ambience of a gentleman's club appeal, the Blue Train's other lounge area, the club car, offers impeccable service with its card tables, reading chairs, small library and fully-equipped bar. Here guests can watch a short film about the area through which the train is passing.
