33, 4 or 6-Day Buffalo Rock Tented Camping Safari – Kruger National Park:
Hazyview to Hazyview

This is a camping safari - there is nothing hi tech to spoil the authenticity of the experience - but with a superior level of comfort, including a personal chef and qualified THETA & FGASA registered and experienced field guide. You’re going to relish gourmet candlelit bush dinners under the vast Kruger sky, and game viewing – with superb photographic opportunities - from open safari vehicles. Accommodation is in comfortable walk-in safari tents with the best possible portable bush showers and toilets. All camping arrangements are taken care of by a support staff. Buffalo Rock Tented Camp is set in an area of unspoiled natural beauty, and is rich in bird and animal life. We’re assured of our privacy here, other, of course, than the nocturnal visitors such as lion and hyena who are often seen around the camp. We’re in a game rich sector of the Park, which means sightings of the Big Five are more likely. But it’s more than just the game. It’s the fun, too, the sunsets, the sundowners, the wild animal sounds of the night, and dinner under the stars. Yes, this is a camping experience, but it’s a first class one.

These safaris are offered as a 2-night, 4-night or 6-night option, with departures as follows:

2 night package departs on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday
4 night package departs on a Monday and Wednesday
6 night package departs on a Monday.

Hereunder the itinerary for the 2-night safari – longer safaris all follow this format, with day one and the last day as in the itinerary below and the other days as indicated in “Day 2” below. Please note that all safaris start and end in Hazyview, which is close to the Kruger Park. We can arrange transfers to and from Hazyview to the Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport, Nelspruit or the O R Tambo International Airport, Johannesburg.

Day 1: Kruger National Park
(Dinner)

Clients depart Hazyview by 13h30 in an open safari vehicle with a quick stop at the local store, where you can use this opportunity to acquire personal necessities, as there are no shops at our camp site. The area we use, offers excellent game viewing - we can expect to see general game, possibly lion and elephant and maybe even an elusive leopard. The Buffalo Rock Tented Safari is situated in an area of unspoiled natural beauty, and is rich in bird and animal life. On arrival, guests are shown to their tent before meeting for sundowners and dinner. We hope to be in for a noise-filled, exciting evening!

Day 2: Kruger National Park
(Brunch, Dinner)

An early rise accompanied by tea and coffee, before setting out to explore one of Africa’s greatest game reserves. Chances of seeing one or all of the famed ‘Big Five’ are excellent, and of course the smaller plains game species and our wonderful African bird-life is prolific. We spend the remainder of the day exploring the reserve before returning to camp for a late afternoon siesta. Dinner is served around our campfire and opportunities exist to view game by spotlight from the camp site.

Day 3: Kruger National Park
(Brunch)

Early morning wake up accompanied by tea, coffee and biscuits before proceeding on a morning game drive. After brunch we drive back to Hazyview, not without searching for that final memorable game sighting. We asrrive back in Hazyview by 12h30 where the Buffalo Rock Tented Safari terminates.
